2) I did not change my return flights, but United canceled my seats and the only ones available were premium. I have short legs and don't care about more legroom. Is this something I can successfully complain about, or am I screwed?

I am trying to tell myself that it was great to change for free (when the actual price actually doubled) but still...
a limo 'might' be faster. done this many times. expect 3+ hrs if there is traffic/weather plus getting out of the airport to ground transportation.
