Does anyone have experience of overnight connections at IST and taking duty free liquids through security?

I arrive late in the evening at IST from a longhaul flight on TK. I plan to go and spend the night at a hotel and explore Istanbul. When I come back the following afternoon, will I be allowed to bring through sealed duty free bags issued from a South American airport the previous day? Will they allow such liquids through if I have left the airport for the night?

Any help would be appreciated.
