Regarding point 2, I understand the fact not all international destinations have those restrictions. but then, just dedicate some space at the gate area to perform those checks in a decent manner. The jetty is simply not the place to do so... It's not like if the new terminal did not have enough space right...?
Fortunately, I've got another week before I have another "jetway inspection" @ SCL. In January, I thought the procedure had terminated, until boarding the flight and walking down the jetway, and surprise, that's 30 seconds of my life I'll never get back to enjoy my PDB which never arrived! And while it will be tempting to use my Priority Pass to visit the Pacific Club on my upcoming visit, I will probably just slum it in the Salon VIP LATAM until boarding time. Nonetheless, dreams of a plug next to a Pacific Club table are aspirational.

As to the rest of your report, good job. I've been traveling to the southern reaches of the earth for some time, including many many many visits to Chile and you've been places that I've not yet seen!
