- Name of the hotel: Mercure Millau
- What is your ALL status? Silver
- Were you (or for multi-stayers were you generally) happy with the hotel/stay? Yes
- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? standard double
- How are the rooms? I'm aware the Mercure decor and style is individual to each hotel. The entrance is shared with the next door Ibis and was checked in by the receptionist wearing an Ibis badge. While the building has shows its 60s/70s concrete origin, the room interior seems quite modern and the room has kind of a "quaint" feel to it, and again comparatively recently updated and in reasonable condition. Parking is by a separate secure car park but pricey at 17euros/day. I appear to have an accessable room - wet bathroom shower designed for someone 1m50 tall, not 1m80 (like me). No desk to speak of but a table at which to work. No mini-bar nor fridge in the room, but a small bottle of Evian provided.
- What was good and what was bad?
Good: bed is firm but comfortable. room is quite a large size considering the location and hotel position in the ALL portfolio. View from the room window.
Bad: light switch movements are worn and take firm presses to operate. Shower room design. No Desk
- Did you get club lounge access? How was the lounge? N/A
- What about welcome drinks, welcome amenities or any other special perks? drink voucher ready prepared when i arrived.
- Value for $ or Vouchers? At 119euro +breakfast +parking i think it's a little pricey for what you get and its location - not a bustling thriving city. Although almost empty though, i do get a friendly vibe from here. While i probably wouldn't come back for business reasons, i would consider it if passing through on a personal trip - assuming i got a good room price.
