Data point: CX Asia Miles to Bonvoy

I know this thread is about Bonvoy to airline miles but just recently I noticed I could convert CX Asia Miles to Bonvoy points at a rate of 2 AM = 1 Bonvoy point. We can discuss whether this is good value but the alternative right now is that points expire or get blown on economy redemptions with additional fees nearly as high as other carriers' full fare prices which I resent.

A year ago, I got a number of great Asia Miles redemptions in business class between HKG-LHR, LHR-BKK, and BKK-LHR-BKK but these have all dried up now and the high additional fees I see on CX in economy makes blowing my last Asia Miles on flights look like a waste of points. I've left HK now so CX is no longer my default carrier and I thought the Asia Miles would be stranded. But no.

Yesterday, I initiated a transfer of 120k Asia Miles to my Bonvoy account and it warned me it could take up to eight weeks. But, the 60k Bonvoy points are already there today and I can say thank you and so long to Marco Polo. I'll get about GBP400-500 redemption value out of these Bonvoy points.

Just thought I'd report this reverse transfer and this seemed like the best thread to do it in.
