No need to be scared for driving in China. Just take it easy and slow moves. I got mine 2007 and the first year got frustrated of the traffic. Then decided that i could not change how people drive here and follow to the flow was the motto. Maybe 200k kilometers driving in China without anything bigger. Now in process to get C6 driving license and the driving test already passed. Theory test only in Chinese and pushing the police to get some solution. This is a new law since April 2022 if you want to pull a caravan in China. Longest trip have been Shanghai to Inner Mongolia totaling of 7200km on the road. Now days only renting RV (C1 license is ok) until I get my C6 license
