How to charge my rented Tesla 3?
Help! I'm in a bind...I'm not familiar with how to charge a Tesla 3. Avis upgraded me to the vehicle and I didn't realize until later that I will need to charge the vehicle. There are no charging cables in the trunk or "frunk". I'm surprised that there is no information from Avis in the vehicle about how/where to charge the rented vehicle. Currently, I'm 75 miles away from the airport where I will return the car and only have a 30% charge, so will definitely need to charge up.
My questions:
1. Since I do not own the car, I assume I cannot charge it at one of the the Tesla SuperChargers, right? My understanding is that you must be the owner of the vehicle and set up an account to use the SuperCharger---since I'm not the owner of the car, I cannot set up an account. Is this correct? I believe Hertz renters are able to use the SuperChargers and the cost is automatically put on their credit card--does Avis do something similar?
2. Assuming that I cannot use a SuperCharger, can I use any public electric vehicle charging station? Is it "one size fits all" or is there a particular brand that I should use? Will the charging station plug work for the Tesla?
Thanks for all advice on a way forward for this!
