Over the past couple of days, I have been having difficulty liquidating the GE $200 VGCs. While trying to liquidate 4 VGCs, the first and second card normally go through but on the third and/or fourth card swipe it will beep and it will not go through and the receipt shows, “DEBIT NOT AVAILABLE APPR. CODE = 93”.
After 1, 2, 3, or 4 tries, it may go through. One time the transaction had to be cancelled because, “DEBIT NOT AVAILABLE MAX EQUALS 8”. This is very reminiscent of what happened in the fall of 2020 when the SM VGCs started to intermittently fail.
