Booked '1 King', given 'Pittmam Suite' night before

How are the rooms?
40in wall mounted TV in bedroom, slightly smaller one the living area. Barn door in the bathroom & bedroom with Black bathroom color fixtures and no shower door.

Floor to ceiling windows in living room made it feel slightly cozier. Didnt hear outside noise too much but could hear neighbors across the hall (they were rowdy coming back from the Bar at night lol), as well as upstiars.

Kimpton's design team has gotten lazy over the years. The rooms here have a similar design template, that hasnt evolved much, to which you can see elements of the Sylvan, Fontenot, Shane & Banneker. No boutique local feel.
No views here. Front of hotel faces adjoining mid-rise office & apartment buildings and valet rotunda. Rear of hotel rooms face street with Dallas Light Rail crossing.

How was your complimentary welcome amenity?

Selected Diamond Breakfast. Breakfast was fine. No issues.

IC amenity had all my favorites and a handwritten note. Nice touch.

Were you offered a Chef's Taste at Dinner, If so, what did you receive?
I inquired about it upon check-in and the agent didn't know about it. When agent asked the restaurant, they said they didnt offer it (despite the special Inner Circle keycards saying otherwise). They offered compensation, I declined but kindly gave them a warning about the nomemclature on the Key Cards and brand standards. 🙄

What was good and what was bad?
Bad:
- The hotel is priced quite high but its a typical newer Kimpton whereas their mantra has been and continues to be "Value Luxury"
- Chef taste (none) and noise insulation (weak)

Good:
- Location
- Nicely sized suite (700sq ft)


Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

For the price and being that Kimpton spend isnt RA qualifying any more, you're better off at the Indigo for value and expectations. I hope they hurry with the construction of the Intercontinental in Dallas. I personally dont see value of the product for the price at the Pittman.
