I thought so too, but the numbers didn't work out that way. When I added a PDX leg, I was still short miles. For example,
4/6 SEA to PDX (500 miles) and then 4/6 PDX to LAS (762 miles), that gave me a total of 1262 total for that leg which is only 396 miles more than my direct SEA to LAS flight that was 866 miles.
I need to add a minimum of 484 miles total and that extra 396 miles added doesn't push me to the 10k mark.
