I plan to cancel my Capitalone Venture X card in a few days because my annual fee for the 2nd year just hit. I have a hotel reservation booked through Capitalone Travel portal. I paid for the reservation using the Venture X card. My card was fully charged for the reservation and I received some credit back due to the $300 travel credit from the first year. Will my hotel reservation be cancelled if I close my Venture X card? Will CapitalOne claw back the travel credit I received for this reservation? I appreciate any input.
