In your case, I would eventually expect the following
1. Amex clawbacks the $200 from your 1/3/2023 cancellation because the credit is "linked" to that transaction
2. They would
not automatically reapply the $200 to your new 2/12 transaction
3. You would have to chat in to get it manually credited
