I agree! I opened those store cards when I was just starting to learn about this hobby and didn’t realize that, for my purposes, those were essentially worthless. The sign-up bonus for the United Explorer isn’t that great at the moment (50k miles for $3k spend in 3 months) but my husband will get the 10k referral miles and I can take advantage of the 2 United club passes and the Global Entry credit before our trip next month. I’m hoping to get at least conditional approval for one of our kids so that we can hopefully do the Interview upon Arrival. Anyway I guess that’s a post for another forum.
