I've spent a while playing around with various European destinations and months today trying to spend a load of Avios. While outbound availability from London is excellent - including weekends to popular spots in southern Europe this summer - there are very few inbound seats available to book at all on many routes.

This seems odd to me - I would have thought most people booked a reward flight as a return journey but overall there are vastly more outbound than inbound seats on offer. What's going on here?
