1) That Pacific Club is horrible, although I never got to enjoy the opulent splendor of the "reserved" area.

2) As far as the liquids gate check, it has to be at the gate (or have particular espigones dedicated to flights with liquids restrictions with security checks set up - not practical) because not all international destinations from SCL have liquids restrictions. As far as the usefulness or effectiveness of same - that's another topic
