Hi FT and Accor enthusiasts,
In a recent instance while staying in Germany, I have been denied breakfast during the weekend despite submitting a booking through Accor. I am a Diamond member and I submitted the booking via Business Plus. The property is listed under properties provided free breakfast on weekends (

Preemptively, I talked to the reception when checking-in to enquire about how breakfast and I was told I did not have breakfast on my rate. Pushing deeper, I was told that I had to select the rate that shows the included breakfast (albeit free). I did see some properties doing that and it makes sense, however this particular property is not doing that. I escalated that to the reception manager who had no answer (yet provided free breakfast) and floated the idea that either there might be a limited inventory for the inclusive breakfast or the rate mentioned above is not available to Business Plus. I have asked him to enquire with his reservation department.
I have read some T&C and nothing stops a Business Plus booking from receiving the Diamond benefits. There's also no way for me to make a search on Accor without the Business Plus card number.
Has anyone of you encountered that before?
