Looking for a way to top two previous starwood ski resort experiences in conjunction with a European or Asian ski resort (preferably ski in, ski out).

BACKGROUND:
Having thoroughly enjoyed both the St Regis/Aspen/Snowmass experience (dec, 2002), and Westin/Whistler/Blackcomb experience (dec, 2003), which are both very repeatable trips (ie they were both highly-successful and we would gladly go back to either location)...I would like to push the envelope and try a new place in winter 2005 equal to or superior to these two experiences. This trip has GOT to top our two previous trips since we're going to have to miss this dec, 2004 trip, and we'll be taking four families in late Dec, 2005. Some well-researched and hand-picked ski resort will earn a chunk of my starpoints (assuming a 4* or 5* at 10K per night).

Cost is not a major issue since I'll be using mostly spg starpoints and airline miles which is why I'm targeting a starwood property. Though the very weak US dollar is a drawback, by Christmas, 2005, I am hoping the dollar will have strengthened, or we'll be eating hamburgers in Europe a lot. Nevertheless, this trip will mostly be taken using starpoints and airline miles so the two largest expenses will be points/miles.


GOAL:
I earnestly ask for input and advice from any fellow starwood member who have traveled to European (or maybe Asia) starwood ski resorts. My opinion so far is that starwood is weak w/ respect to European and Asian ski resorts as I have not come across many options in Europe, and none in Asia. Or, have I "overlooked" an obvious pick ? I plan to start making reservations late Dec, 2004, just after Christmas day, so as to hit the 1yr mark out. So, time is of the essence.

SKI IN/SKI OUT is a big criteria, since we've all got small kids and lugging equipment around for me, mine, and ours, really wears me down. In this respect snowmass/St. Regis/Aspen (miles apart from the slopes) is a bit of a downer, and Westin/Whistler (true ski in, ski out) is really an upper.

I researched various threads and did not find any that were oriented to ski resorts spanning starwood only Asian and European ski resorts, per se, so thought it permissable to create this new thread.

P.S. Wiliiam / Lurker, if you can give me any tips on how to better search spg.com for international ski resorts without having to search property by property. I attempted to use the "ski" icon but am not getting anywhere. Would be highly useful to be able to download a list of all European and Asian starwood properties that are, say, within 5 miles or less of a ski resort. Is this possible ? Spreadsheet-maniputable would be ideal. Or, any chance of a brochure I can call my concierge and request that relates speciifically to international ski resort destinations ?
