Incorrect mileage credit is one of the most frustrating things to deal with in terms of customer service, no idea why but it's pretty much always a pain. I've found they'll fight you tooth and nail to correct it for some reason.
One of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had in terms of customer service was dealing with a similar credit issue with JetBlue.
Even as an EXP, I just didn't bother fighting a flight that credited to B6 instead of AA, not worth the hassle for credit on a $150 ticket.
