In theorie yes it will extend the validity. But if I am correct, you need to have those points from the purchase added before the end 31-03-2023 I don't know if everyone has the same date that the monthly statement closes and the points are added. Mine is always around the 9th, if yours is also the 9th then your too late for that and the only option will be to fly before the end of the month.
