Recently I "primed the pump" by transferring 1000 points from each of Chase and Amex to my KF account. I figured the first transfer from either source might take a bit longer than subsequent transfers given there might be some first time confirmation/validation issues. Amex went nearly instantaneously, and Chase took couple days (but it was also the case that I did the 1000 Chase transfer on a Friday, and I think that had something to do with it).... Then I monitored award availability daily for a week or so ahead of the the date I expected the reservation window to open to surmise what availability might be...(I was looking for an F award in Suites, which is only available at Advantage)..... I was going to transfer the bulk of needed points from Amex and the balance from Chase....so to hedge my bet I transferred the Chase points a few days early as it looked like my targeted award would be available... then when the day came and I could see my actual date and route being available, I started my booking and took the booking process up to the point where the system required the points to be in the account to continue, then I went to Amex and initiated the transfer for the remainder of the points, which happened nearly instantaneously again.... when the points popped into my account I finalized the booking. I think there was a thread somewhere recently, that people shared their transfer experiences... you might look for that to get a sense of Chase specific transfer experiences
