And, I'm routinely upgraded at Marriott vs. not upgraded to premium suites at Hyatt. In fact, last night, I was upgraded from a base room to the nicest suite in the hotel at the Amman Marriott. I would consider myself lucky to be upgraded to any sort of suite at Hyatt as properties prove time and time again to me that Globalist doesn't matter. Ambassador status definitely matters as I can be treated well in a country and property I am visiting for the first time.
Your experience is the exact opposite of mine. Good for you, honestly. If Marriott is treating you so well that's great, but you're an outlier. Just like you're an outlier for not getting upgrades at Hyatt. It's the people who aren't getting suite upgrades, and still fanboy over Marriott that confuse me.
