That's my concern i'll be using corporate TA to book the ticket. Talked to the 1k desk and she told me that the TA has to change the code to LH and UA (websupport) won't be able to convert it. I seriously doubted UA won't be able to change it and hence I posted it here for a second opinion. UA doesn't care. Yes, it's a HUCA situation. I have heard that nonsense before (that the TA needs to make the change) which is absolutely not true.
