I just had a look at the cancelled LAX thread.
It seems clear that a lack of crew would be cause for EC261. I’ll submit a claim and see what the response is.
Just so I have all my info correct for when I claim:
109 was cancelled on the 17th due to lack of full crew.
My plane then took stranded pax from the cancelled 108 that was caused by 109’s cancellation.
I understand about crew rest after bringing the empty plane over.
Do I have that basically correct?
Yes, the crew that should have flown you back today never left LHR on the 17th due to a shortage, a newly constituted crew has flown the empty aircraft out and they will now operate your delayed 108 today.
