Does AC run those year round or just in the winter when they have fewer European flights? Also wondering why you didn't have lounge access in YEG, unless you were on separate tickets. We have lived in quite a few spots being in the Military but Edmonton will always be home now (I was born in Ontario). If you can look past the winter it is an amazing place to live.
It seems to be a new thing for Edmonton. I have gone Toronto to Edmonton return 3 or 4 times in the last 6 months and the flights are always packed full. And right now I think they do 5 or 6 a day so my guess is they had spare capacity and upped the aircraft size. Right now it is just 1 per day (normally a 787). I booked this flight to start because it had been ages since I had been on an A330 which I really like to fly on.
And in all reality this year was much warmer than most other years with very little snowfall overall.
He is on the mend, some minor heart issues but he is in his late 80's and an ex Navy guy so its actually amazing that he is still with us!
