This should happen automatically but sometimes it doesn't (I have my theories about what causes this, but I can't be sure). AA has a batch process that runs and converts the BE ticket into a non BE ticket with a designation on the back end for CK and EXP customers. It's the kludge of the century.

Only after this change happens, can you get upgrades requested etc.
