it really depends on the time. I do the same thing as OP all the time; sometimes going through passport control takes 5 min, very often in the afternoon on a busy day it might take 30-45 min! Bags can take another 10-20 min, depending on how long they arrive at the carousel. Also, regarding fast-track lanes, not all airlines participate, so be sure to ask when you get there.
