LIke others said, you can stay airside.
But you still will need to wait for Finnair desk to open. While transfer desk is open "all day", they won't issue Finnair boarding passes all-day. In my case (
Lost along the way ) getting a Finnair boarding pass airside was possible at earliest 17:35-ish (which is at least a bit better than the "3 hours before" rule they will tell you).
