I don't know if AA is the same, but I have a QF booking with a BA flight as part of the itinerary. It's on a BA flight number, too. When I go to MMB and select the BA flight, the QF website tells me to log into the BA website with their PNR which it displays (and which also happens to be the same as the QF one)
