I made a reservation with Emirates and called to cancel within 24 hours of making the payment, but longer (around 36 hours) since the ticket was held ( for a fare, not free). Based on DOT rules, since they did not let me hold the fare for free for 24 hrs, they should let me cancel it for free now, but they aren't. Their argument is that the 24 hrs starts from the time of the hold. Is this accurate ? Thanks
