Got back last week from the SEA-LAX R/T. Trip quite enjoyable and relaxing, and only ~1/2 hr delay for arrival at either terminus (very fortunate, I am guessing).

No BC - Superliner trainset for all Coast Starlight trains is just 2 sleeping cars, dining car, lounge car and 2 coach cars. Trains appear to be just turned around at a Y so rooms get the west view southbound, east view north. Did get an extra and new Siemens locomotive for the SEA-PDX run but it took the crew over an hour to detach it at PDX.

Dining car is now open to all pax again (happened between 21 Feb and 7 March so I am guessing at the beginning of March).

When I was looking to book in the latter part of January, business was there but blocked out, and disappeared completely sometime in early February.
