The journey began, as so often, at Düsseldorf Airport. Shortly before our departure there had been strikes, but fortunately the situation had normalized.
Check-in was quick and we went to the C area. Security was also done quickly and we could go to the Open Sky Lounge. The lounge is the weakest in the airport and hardly worth mentioning. In view of what was still to come, I did without an extensive breakfast, but there would have been nothing reasonable anyway.
