I recently purchased a paid upgrade on AA and it had an approach that favored the customer more than UA:
- (AA) If you cancel or change your trip, you can request a refund to trip credit for the value of your upgrade.
I wonder if we could get UA to change its policy to align with AA. I would actually buy paid upgrades from UA more often if I knew that if I cancelled the flight, I could get travel credit for what I paid for the upgrade.
