Was just perusing the Air Asia site and it seems service to HNL (from KUL via KIX) is scheduled to resume at the beginning of September with 4x weekly frequency.

Fares were a bit of a shocker. Lowest back-of-the-bus seats are now ~US$900 OW in either direction. IIRC think it used to be <$300 in 2017 and 2019. Big Seats run US$1,400 and up from KUL, US$1,700 and up to KUL. Certainly didn't run me 1/2 that much back in 2017 and 2019 (~CAD 1,850 and MYR 6,100 for 2 respectively).

Maybe making up for losses due to grounding but I'll wait for a sale on a full-service carrier.
