I’m so old I remember a no-notice devaluation of EK awards in 2016. And AS being one of the very first to have multiple tier awards on their own metal (which basically gave them DL-style award pricing on most of their routes).
Sadly I believed them when they said they had no choice and committed to give 90 days notice. Yet time and time again they go back to the no notice changes.
The immediate impact on me is likely spending almost 200k extra miles rebooking things as plans have changed. It’s not an insignificant sum.
