At last night's Xmas party I was seated next to a lady who was quite excited that she could get ID90 (maybe ID75?) tickets and was going "home" (unnamed country) just after Xmas. She clearly explained how she was going to buy 1st class fares as they were so rediculously cheap and since her son was doing xxxxxx job in QF, she would get a bargain.

Now, apart from the obvious protocol problem of discussing the industry perks with another (non industry) traveller (this would have been clear to her quite early in the discussion), I am now wondering who has priority for those very valuable are rare F class seats? Is it the C, D or J class passenger using points or SCs to request the upgrade, or madam sitting next to me on a ID fare?
