We submitted an online renewal on Jan 18, and received the "received" e-mail on Jan 30th. We chose expedited processing, and the "received" e-mail indicates a 3-5 week processing time from the date of submission. We're now at 7 weeks past submission and the status still shows as "received".
We have travel in 3 weeks, on April 2nd. Is there anything I can do now, other than request a refund for the expedited service fees? I can't get through on the phone.
Also submitted online (Jan 28th), chose expedited processing, website showed in process already Jan 30, and the “received” email also said 3-5 week processing. Now at 6 weeks and still in process, State Department website currently says 5-7 weeks for expedited , and also aware of reports that online applications have been delayed by technical issues. Still have time until travel, but more concerned they may stop work altogether on the online applications given the technical difficulties.
