International J tickets are selling for $2500-$3000 RT in the Premium Fares board.That is up 20-30% since 2021. If you think that JL wants to give a better deal by redeeming AS miles ... good luck with that too.

And JL F now costs about $4000 RT if you buy miles. Still a great deal compared to the cash fare.

Most (not all) of the mileage arbitrage is gone. More and more, look for flash sales in premium cabins across all airlines and hit the bid if you see one you like. And/or look for J roundtrips out of 3rd world countries.

Enough whining and gnashing of teeth. Please.

It’s a no-notice devaluation with an airline that has previously committed to giving notice. I think all of us expect devaluation but have the right to be unhappy with AS for how they are handling it.
