2A is still my preferred seat.
I recently flew in 1K on TPE-SEA. I asked at check-in if this seat was available (as they are typically blocked). Check-in agent made a phone call and reassigned me (previous seat assignment was 8K as I booked last minute).

I did not like 1K at all; while the footwell is certainly larger than others given it's a bulkhead, it's right next to many cabinets that FAs are using during service times... which is essentially 4 hours of the flight (i.e., very noisy and busy in the area directly adjacent to you, lots of cabinet opening / closing). Since it's a seat closer to the aisle, you also are in direct view of all of the FAs anytime they're working in that space, so it doesn't feel very private.

2D and 2G offer the same additional footwell space with more privacy given they're set back a row from row 1, though it comes at the expense of a window.

I wouldn't choose 1K next time if I can avoid it.
