As this thread documents, Alaska Airlines blocks the last few calendar days from premium awards for Japan Airlines, so you have to either wait or do roundtrips etc to see that blocked availability. Do we know if Alaska blocks similarly for any other partner airlines (just so I'm aware of the issue when making end-of-calendar searches)
