Completely agree. It's very much like people bragging about cpp when booking an ANA F flight that they would/could never pay for. Now SIM is a very nice all inclusive, having been there for 4 nights last month, but I would not value it anywhere near what they are trying to charge cash wise. Based on how empty the impressions side was, I guess that most people feel similarly. I also would never pay the new award prices, but I do have a speculative booking for 3 nights later this year at the pre-deval rate.

The location isn't particularly great, it's so far from downtown PDC that you can't realistically walk there and need to take a taxi. I'm more of a pool shark anyway, so the lack of a good beach doesn't bother me. That said - the dining and bar is excellent by Mexican AI standards.
