Just to clarify - when you say "paid by the company" - assuming you mean that you're staying in a room block to a master account, not paying via corporates credit card. IME, when you're in a room block, your bill is effectively $0 plus incidentals. You get the nights, but no points.

Unfortunately, I have many of these stays myself, which is why I have a high number of nights / year, but find it very hard to earn ambassador, since my actual spend (technically) is low.
