Couldn't find the answer to this so please help. We are currently in Premium Plus UA Metal MUC-DEN. I just did a MileagePlus upgrade to Polaris using miles and cash but it is waitlisted. We are a couple traveling together. Could it happen that only one of us clears the waitlist? If so, will we have an opportunity to decline the upgrade unless both of us can get it? Is there a way to tell United not to split us up?
