I don't always take the room and breakfast rates. I have found that if I want breakfast I can always pay for it the day I have it.

I also found something interesting. I was booking a hotel with breakfast and then I looked at just booking the room, after clicking on booking just the room, the next page showed some extra items like breakfast, it showed the price for the length of my stay, and it was cheaper than the room+breakfast offer, so I booked the breakfast on its own.
