Depending on where they'd like to go, it might be worth explaining that changing terminals at LHR is usually fairly pain-free. I'm fond of T3 myself, but the connection from T3 to T5 is in truth no more painful than boarding from a bus gate at T5 (arguably less painful as the buses tend to be quieter).
