Question re the BA Amex Card
Hi All
I have tried to find this answer online but can not seem to locate it.
I have the freebe BA Amex card and because I very rarely use Credit Cards, i.e. I only use it when booking flights/holidays with BA, and on the rare occasion I buy something online. Everything else I pay for with Cash.
I noticed this year however, I am close to my £10k requirement on the card for a companion voucher! Normally I don't get much further than half way.
Obviously the Companion Voucher on the freebe card is a bit crappy allowing only Economy. But the premium cabin one would be of great benefit to me!
If I upgraded my BA Amex account to the premium one, paying the fee, would my existing spend to the Companion voucher then turn into existing spend towards the Premium cabin companion voucher? Or would I have to start again?
Planning a trip next year one way to NYC with Cunard, few nights there, then back in First or Business with BA (or v/v depending on dates)... so the premium companion voucher would be of great help!
Thanks
