Certainly dynamically upgraded their prices based on a March booking I made back in January. That said the price escalation of other HK IHG hotels is breathtaking. For my date later this week The Indigo has more than tripled in price since early Jan.

As Diamond Ambassador I’m entitled to a one level upgrade. At this hotel they have so many room level categories that it could mean the next best room is nothing more than nearer the elevator and faces 1 degree further South.

My room mysteriously showed a downgrade from side harbour view 7 weeks after booking. So I’m expecting that means my Ambassador upgrade will likely result in the room category reverting to that originally allocated….
