I've been pretty happy with the Platinum card so far for travel benefits and whatnot. (Just booked 2 Polaris tickets for a vacation and that was a sweet 70k points.) But as a daily drive it is lacking. The Gold card seems to work much better. I'm guessing AmEx wouldn't mind getting another $250/yr out of me, but the restaurants + grocery bonuses seem pretty decent. (Or maybe I just need to find a better daily driver card.)
