I'm headed to Niece from MSP in May and have a choice of routing either through CDG or AMS. The schedule works better for me through AMS but I'm unable to find any current information about the status of KLM's baggage transfer operation. (I have to check bags.) The MSP to AMS portion would be on DL metal and AMS to NCE on KLM. Does anyone know if the baggage handling in Schiphol has improved? It took 10 days for a bag from EDI to BOS routed through AMS to catch up with me last summer – I'm hoping not to have a similar experience. Thanks!
Yes it has. The main issues at AMS are now for originating passengers (not connecting) at security and for all wheelchair assistance. You can run into lines at entrance passport control. However there is a short connection line for those at T-60 or less. Exiting can use egates. (Which they seem to be using most the time now)
