Thanks. It might be depending on the store/location. In a couple of supermarkets, there were signs that gift cards can be only purchased with debit cards. And AFAIK Office Depot had the similar signs.
What were the supermarkets that had that restriction? I've bought GC with a credit card at numerous supermarkets, Staples & Office Depot/Max. Try it and report back. But we are getting off topic.
