If you get pressed for time, you could go to the Sprüngli Café in either the “A” terminal or the Airside (Shopping) Center in the main terminal.
If you catch an S16 train from the airport, don't get off aht Hauptbahnhof - stay on to the next stop, Stadelhofen, which is close to the Lake.
Start making you way back from the City no later than 2.5 hrs before your flight departs, although a former colleagues personal record is leaving the office near Enge Station at 5:23 pm for a 6:50 pm departure (Schengen, hand luggage only, online check in, fast track eligible, pre-Covid). She made the flight, but it was stressful.
